Milagros Mendola

Lower School Art

Milagros Mendola teaches Lower School Art at Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS).   Milagros moved from her native country, Peru to West Palm Beach, Florida to attend college.  She earned a Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Graphic Design from Florida Atlantic University.   She continued to pursue her Masters degree in Art Education.

Milagros brings 15 years of experience in teaching Art at the Elementary School level – all at public schools in Palm Beach and Martin County.   She commented on teaching for the first time in a Christian school, “I am very blessed to be able to combine my love for Art Education and religious faith at Shannon Forest Christian School. “

Shannon Forest welcomes her husband Michael and their son Kiefer who attends SFCS’ KT program.  The family also includes dogs Sumo and Sasha.  It was Michael’s job that relocated the family to Greenville, and Milagros exclaims, “…although we are leaving all our family and friends back in Florida, we are very excited to plant roots here in Greenville.”

Milagros’ interests include: painting, pottery, photography, hiking, bike riding and swimming.  She also loves all kinds of music, but admits she’s kind of stuck in the ‘80s.  Her favorite Bible passage is Philippians 4:13 which truly gives her strength when she needs it:

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
