C.A.N. After School Private Music Lessons
Registration has begun for students interested in one of our many school music programs.
All students must fill out and return the student registration form to Ashley King, Director of Fine Arts.

To learn more, please join us for an informational band meeting on Monday, August 29, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lower School Multi‐Purpose Room on the Shannon Forest Lower School Campus. A representative from Pecknel Music will be available to answer questions regarding instrument rental/purchase, and instruments will be available for students to try. Early Childhood and Elementary Students:
Karen Weathers (EC/LS MusicTeacher) is offering the following music extension courses in the C.A.N. program. The classes will be from 3-4 on Thursdays and snack is included in price.
Includes - familiarity with keyboard, simple theory, simple melodies that they can play on their own
December 1, 8 - Creative Christmas - K5 - 3rd Grade - $25.00
Includes - Fun Christmas choreography, a look at the "Nutcracker", Exploration of Christmas hymns

The Shannon Forest Christian School Private Music Lesson program is offered as a service to students of Shannon Forest Christian School and exists to make music lessons more convenient for our families.
• Students may sign up for lessons on Registration Day at the beginning of each school year. Students interested in beginning lessons later in the school year may do so, depending on availability of their desired instructor.
• Private lessons are available in piano, voice, guitar, string instruments (violin, cello, etc), wind instruments (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, etc.) and drums.
• All lessons will be given on campus, between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• After School Music Program instructors are private contractors, not school employees, and have agreed to a background check as part of their qualifications for the program.
• All lesson fees are set by the instructors and should be paid directly to them at the first lesson of each month.
• Piano students should have access to an instrument for practice between lessons. Students of other instruments should purchase or rent an instrument from a reputable dealer.
• Lesson books are determined by the teacher.
