Parent Teacher Fellowship

Dear Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) Parents,
Thank you for your generous support of the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) last year. God really blessed us this past year financially. With your generous support we were able to give $18,000 back to the school. $10,000 was given to the Lower School to get the playground improvements going for next year, and $8,000 was given to the Middle and Upper Schools for much needed improvements.
As you know, in the past, the PTF has done a lot to raise extra funds for the school, but this year we are changing direction and getting back to the original purpose of the PTF which is fellowship. This coming school year, we are going to do more to enhance the family atmosphere of the school. We will be starting with the New Family Ice Cream Social again so be looking for upcoming information on this special welcoming event. We are also hoping to plan some socials for mothers and their children as well as fun times Dad can spend with the family. They might be in the form of a Mother's Day Tea or Donuts with Dad. We will keep you posted as these opportunities develop. SFCS/PTF will still be doing the Fall Family Fellowship and our fully loaded Spring Fling.
The PTF will use fundraising only to raise money for this year's Teacher Appreciation and our socials. We will not be doing the wrapping paper or casserole fundraisers this year to take the burden of these events off our families. PTF is hoping to introduce a new fall flower fundraiser this year and we will of course be planning the traditional Spring Fling. We are excited to see how God blesses us this year.
Thank you to everyone who has generously given of their time to serve our school and its teachers. We appreciate you more than you will ever know. There will be plenty of opportunities to serve this year. SFCS/PTF is always looking for new people to bring fresh ideas to the table.
Lastly, it has been a joy for me, personally, to serve our school and teachers, and I would like to thank all the ladies who came along side me last year and decided to stay with me this coming year. I am excited to be serving again with them this year and am thrilled to welcome the new ladies who have graciously joined the board.
