A Summer of Fun!
Summer at Shannon's summer long program is all about creative activities that help children celebrate the joys of living and learning! Spend summer days enjoying everything from Music and Art to Sports and Nature. It is a great way for kids to spend their summer days! In addition to the normal curriculum, summer camp will be full of fun-filled activities for kids entering PK3 through the 6th Grade at SFCS.

The purpose of Shannon Forest Christian School is to support the Christian home and church by providing quality education from an evangelical and Biblical perspective in order to equip and challenge students to influence culture and society for Jesus Christ.
Note To Parents
Although the summer program is conducted in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, the policies of Shannon Forest Christian School will be enforced. Our goal is to uphold our standards of excellence while providing a recreational and enjoyable summer experience. Some of the faculty and staff from SFCS will serve as teachers and aides during summer camp. The program is designed by SFCS teachers and approved by the School Administrator. Registration Guidelines
- Summer at Shannon is available for all children entering PK3 through 6th Grade. PK3 children need to be toilet trained and self sufficient in their bathroom procedures—no pull ups please.
- Each child must be enrolled for a minimum of 10 days. You may choose any combination of 2, 3, or 5 days.
- The non-refundable enrollment fee and the first week's tuition must accompany the registration form.
- Tuition is due the first day of each week that your child will attend. There will be no adjustments made if you do not attend or if you pick up your child early.
- In case of emergency, changes may be made with the approval of the Summer Camp Director. Please give as much notice as possible.
- You may pay for the entire summer at one time by making arrangements with the Summer Camp Director.
- A fee of $10 per 15 minutes will be charged for children who are picked up later than the regular dismissal time.
- Registration begins February 8, 2010. Enrollment is limited, please register early.

- Half Days: 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

- Registration Fee: $100. per child or $200. max per family.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What will a typical day be like for PK3 – K5?
A: Summer Camp will be set much like the school year with arts, crafts, music, learning centers, outside play, water play, snack time, lunch, and rest time in the afternoon.
Q: Are field trips offered during the summer?
A: Yes, field trips are offered for rising 1st – 6th Grade students. Some trips will be limited to 3rd – 6th graders. Parents will receive detailed information prior to each field trip and will be required to sign a permission form for their child to participate.
Q: If my child is enrolled and I want to take him/her out for an hour or two early, what do I do?
A: Be sure to let the teacher and camp director know ahead of time. Unfortunately, we can not make refunds for partial days.
Q: Can my child bring warm ups for lunch and is refrigeration available?
A: We will have microwaves for warm ups however, refrigeration will not be available.
Q: What does my PK3 child need to bring to summer camp?
A: All children will need a lunch and beverage. Students should bring a backpack with the following items: lunch, water bottle, towel, change of clothes. Full day children will also need a rest mat and blanket. Please label all items.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Dress is casual and comfortable. Children should wear tennis shoes only – NO flip-flops or sandals.
