Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) welcomes Susan Bursley to the 2010/2011 staff where she will serve as the Admissions Coordinator. Bursley is no stranger to SFCS, having attended the school for 7 years. She was also raised in Shannon Forest Presbyterian Church.

Bursley holds a BS in Communication, Public Relations from Appalachian State University. A 2008 graduate, she was involved in the Coordinating Council of Clubs where she worked to actively increase student involvement on campus. In that role, she was honored as a "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges." She most recently worked in Buena Vista, Colorado as a mountain guide and logistics manager for Rocky Mountain High – an Officer's Christian Fellowship program that focuses on developing Christ-based, servant leaders in college students, military cadets and junior officers. As Admissions Coordinator, Bursley will put her passion for young adults to work in conjunction with SFCS School Ambassador Lynn Pittman.

All mothers are invited to join the Mom's In Touch International Prayer Group at SFCS that meets every Tuesday morning at 8:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. in the Shannon Forest Presbyterian Church Coffee Room. (Next to the Sanctuary) This group has been praying at our school for about ten years and prayer DOES make a difference! As the 21 Days of Prayer concludes, this is a great option to remain in prayer for our school. Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) welcomed 100 new students to its PK3 through 12th Grade family this year! The new families were recently treated to an ice cream social held on Thursday, August 12. Teachers, administrators and returning student "mentors" were on hand to share in a time of fellowship.
