Summer 2011

Dear SFCS Parents,

We are looking forward to re-connecting with our current families and beginning new relationships with over 60 new families!  Upon your return you will see that we have been busy making improvements and readying ourselves for your arrival.  During these summer months the Lower School Building has been repainted and new carpet has been installed.  A wonderful addition to the East Campus is the Educational Garden, located outside the Early Childhood Building.  On the West Campus tile floors have been installed in the Middle School Science Lab and Art Room as well as the teacher workroom.  Wireless Internet, SMART Boards and iPads are being implemented to enhance the learning experience.  We are also excited to introduce our new Faculty and Staff.   Be sure to check our website and read their bios.  We look forward to sharing the many talents they bring to the SFCS family.

To insure a smooth start to the new year there are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Friday, August, 12, - All School Orientation Day (see back for details).

-          Orientation for the entire school will be held in the Upper School Cafeteria (West Campus).

-          School forms can be printed from the website, signed and brought to Orientation.  Save yourself time and have these forms completed in advance!

  • Monday, August 15, – First Day of School.
  • Be sure to check the website regularly at www.shannonforest.com.  The calendar and school activities can be found on this site
  • Watch for Eblasts which will continue to go out on a regular basis to keep you informed of upcoming events and information.

Your continued support of Shannon Forest Christian School is greatly appreciated. We look forward to partnering with you for the 2011-2012 school year.

Sincerely,

Bob Collins

President
