SFCS Alumnus Ben Van Dyke Elected Davidson Union Board President
Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) 2005 graduate Ben Van Dyke has been elected Union Board president at Davidson College. In his new office, Van dyke will help lead the College Union Board, which contributes to Davidson’s social and academic life by planning campus-wide programs including late-night events held every weekend. A psychology major with a pre-medical concentration, Van Dyke received the Alumni Association Award for the highest grade point average in his first-year class. He has been inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta, pre-medical honor society and the Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society. Van Dyke is vice president of Changing Minds, a student organization dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues. Van Dyke is the son of Joel and Robin Van Dyke of Simpsonville, South Carolina. His brothers currently attend SFCS; Philip is a member of the junior class, Brian is in the 9th Grade and Gregory is in the 7th Grade.
