SFCS Varsity Golf Returns Only Two, But Holds High Hopes

          March 9, 2010 - The Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) Varsity Golf team lost a lot of players from last year, but the Crusaders have hopes to be competitive at the 1A State level with the return of two strong players in Allen Randall and Carson Dils. "The two sophomores are going to have to provide leadership to a really young team," said Coach Ryan Godsey. The team includes sophomores James Wilson and Micah Weaver, freshman Clay Young and Eighth Grade student Jesse Turner. "The team should make great strides throughout the year as they get more experience and improve in their consistency and short game," added Godsey. The team kicks off the 2010 season Tuesday, March 16, at Verdae Greens against conference rivals Asheville Christian and Carolina Day
