SFCS Middle School Boys Prepare For CMSC Tournament

          February 8, 2010 - The Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) Middle School Boys' Basketball team finished out the year with back-to-back games – one resulted in a loss and one with a victory. On Thursday, February 4, the contest featured the second meeting between our Crusaders and the Greenies from Christ School. SFCS played as well as could be expected, but fell short losing 31-17. On Friday, February 5, the Crusaders traveled to Spartanburg to take on the Griffins of Spartanburg Day School (SDS). The Crusaders jumped out to a big lead early in the game with good defense and two early three pointers by Will Fuqua on in-bound plays. SFCS built on the 16-6 lead throughout the remainder of the game and cruised to a 40-16 victory. Adam Long led the team in scoring with 15 and Fuqua added 8. This week starts the CMSC tournament and the Crusaders open up against Mt. Zion at home on Tuesday. February 9. Be sure to come out and support the Crusaders in the last home game of their season.
