SFCS Junior Varsity Boys Finish Season With A Big Win
February 20, 2008 - The Shannon Forest Christian School Junior Varsity Boys’ Basketball team finished their season with a big win over the Eagles of Rabun Gap on Tuesday, February 12. The Crusaders took one on the chin, losing by 28, when they traveled to Rabun Gap the third game of the season. But, SFCS showed just how far they’ve come this season as individual players and as a team. The Eagles had a hard time scoring against the SFCS’ tough zone defense. The game appeared to be under control with an eight point lead, but the Crusaders’ third quarter lapse let the Eagles back in the game. The fourth quarter, however, proved to belong to the Crusaders as they outscored the Eagles 14-9 in route to a 39-33 win. The win took the Crusaders to 8-8 on the season. The team was led by Wade Wyatt with 14 points, Brennan Price with nine points, Cody Deas and Jared Young both chipped in six apiece. The Junior Varsity team had a good season as they fought their way back to 8-8 by winning against two of the teams that had dominated them earlier in the season.
