SFCS Junior Varsity Volleyball Team Picks Up Two More Wins
October 6, 2008 - The Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) Crusaders continued their winning ways this past week as they cruised to easy wins over Brashier Middle College (BMC) and Rabun Gap. Against BMC, SFCS dominated from start to finish. Everyone on the team got at least one kill and the team had a great service game, collecting 15 aces. The team rolled to a 25-8 and 25-7 victory. Chelsea Allen led the team with 4 kills and Sadie Connor recorded 4 aces. Tricia Miller also led with 11 assists. On Tuesday, September 30, SFCS looked sharp again as they defeated the Eagles by scores of 25-5 and 25-5. Angie Culpepper led the attack with 3 kills and 4 aces. Conner and Catherine Funk added 3 aces each, and Madison Allen and Tricia Miller combined for 5 kills. “This team is very talented and it is one of the best Junior Varsity teams we have ever had here,” remarked Head Coach David Thompson. “The girls love playing the game with each other and it really shows when they are out there. It’s a coach’s dream to have this kind of talent and team chemistry.”
