SFCS Lady Crusaders Continue Winning Ways

             October 6, 2008 - The Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) Lady Crusaders only played in one Volleyball match last week against conference rival Rabun Gap.  The Crusaders hosted the Eagles on Tuesday, September 30, after having handily beating them a couple of weeks ago.  SFCS was not as focused as they could've been, but nonetheless won the match in three games.  The first game was sloppy on the part of the Crusaders as they played from behind, but they pulled together to win game one 25-18.  The Crusaders controlled game two and finished with a 25-15 win.  Game three was much like the first wherein the Crusaders played a little sloppy, but held on to win the third game 25-21.  The Eagles certainly played much better this time around, but the Crusaders still proved to be too much.  The Crusaders were led by Halina Wilusz with 12 kills and 10 digs, Sarah Thackston had 16 assists and 12 digs, and Katie Harrell added 10 assists and 14 digs.  The Crusaders are now 8-2 on the season and look forward to a busy week next week with three games on the schedule.
