SFCS Junior Varsity Boys End Season With A Loss, But Show Improvement Overall

          February 16, 2010 - The Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) Junior Varsity Boys' Basketball team traveled to Asheville Christian last week to play the Lions. The Crusaders struggled with turnovers and scoring the basketball and in the end, the Lions proved to be too much for the Crusaders winning 66-19. The Crusaders were led by Neil Conover, Rodrigo Rojas, and James Wilson, each contributing four points. The Junior Varsity season ended abruptly with their last game being cancelled due to inclement weather. The team showed improvement throughout the course of the season even though their 3-13 record didn't reflect the change. "The boys gave great efforts all year and competed admirably in every game," said Coach Ryan Godsey. "The Junior Varsity Crusaders can hold their heads high because of the way they competed all year long and the fact that no matter the score they gave maximum effort."
