Shannon Forest Junior Varsity Season Comes to an End

          February 21, 2012 - Tuesday, February 14, the Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) Junior Varsity team played its last game of the season. The Crusaders found themselves in a rematch against the Asheville Trailblazers. In their last meeting back in November, the full court pressure was too much to overcome and they suffered their worst loss of the season. SFCS came out in the opening half and showed excellent execution of their press break. They broke the Trailblazer pressure and held the lead on four different occasions in the first half before giving up a late 6-0 run at the half. In the second half, offensive rebounding by Asheville allowed them to build a double digit lead and went on to win the game by a final score of 59-43. Jesse Turner and Brandon Troka led the way for the Crusaders. The team will return five underclassmen next year and look to add next year's rising freshmen class into the mix.
