The Shannon Forest community asks that you keep the family and friends of Drew Still in your prayers.  Drew, son of Randy and Kathleen Still and a graduating senior, was recently killed in a car accident.  Drew was a kind, chivalrous, talented young man who was well loved by his classmates and teachers.  He was a state champion swimmer and planned to swim for Lenoir-Rhyne University in the fall.  We lift up the Still family to the Heavenly Father at this difficult time.

Shannon Forest Christian School to Partner with 22ft Basketball Academy!

Shannon Forest Christian School is pleased to announce a new partnership between the school and 22ft Basketball Academy. The European-based academy has locations in France, Holland, Spain, South Africa and now, Greenville, South Carolina! 22ft was formed for athletes who really want to make it to the next level in basketball. With over 15 years of experience, the company brings some of the most modern basketball ideas into one unique environment.

The first, multi-continental basketball academy in the world will bring 24 student-athletes, ages 12-18, to Greenville to train in preparation for the collegiate level and attend school at Shannon Forest. “This is an exciting opportunity for Shannon Forest and we look forward to welcoming these student-athletes into our community,” said President Bob Collins. 22 ft and the student athletes will start the 2013-2014 school year with the rest of our students.

The month of May is filled with end-of-the-year activities, celebrations and ceremonies.  Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the following awards presentations and graduations:

Lower School Awards Day, Friday, May 24, at 9:00 a.m.

K5 Graduation, Tuesday, May 21, at 6:00 p.m.

Baccalaureate, Thursday, May 23, at 7:00 p.m.

Class of 2013 Graduation, Friday, May 24, at 7:00 p.m.

All of these events will be held in the East Campus (LS) Sanctuary.
