Guest Speakers Visit the East Campus

The students of Becky Eaton’s 2nd Grade class will welcome DeWitt and Jean Steele to their classroom on Friday, October 7.  The Steele’s will be discussing insects and habitats.  Mr. Steele is a former Science teacher at Pensacola Christian where he also wrote the ABeka Science books.  The Steele’s are the grandparents of Caroline Porterfield.  They now make their home in Simpsonville.

On Friday, September 30, the 4th Grade class of Jane Sowles welcomed author David Weber, father of Megan and Morgan Weber, to their classroom.  Mr. Weber spoke about his writing and his latest novel which debuted on the New York Times Best Sellers list at #8!  The Weber’s  also have a son Michael who is in the 3rd Grade at Shannon Forest.

Dale Gilbert, from WYFF/Channel 4, will be reading to the 4th Grade on Thursday, October 13, during the Lower School Book Fair.
