C.A.N. - Crusader After-School Network

Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) is excited and ready to start a new semester of our Crusader After-School Network (C.A.N.) This program is modeled after our school verse, Philippians 4:13 that says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  C.A.N. is structured on the premise that our students CAN explore new avenues, they CAN grow in their abilities and develop new ones, and they CAN cultivate a strong and firm foundation in Christ.  C.A.N. will be comprised of traditional programs including Late Stay, Intramurals, Individual Music Instruction and more.

Intramural Sports

Shannon Forest offers seasonal after school Intramural Sports in Basketball, Girls’ Softball, Coaches’ Pitch Baseball and Girls’ Volleyball.

Grades 3-7 ($30)
Girls’ Volleyball (6 weeks) March 28 April 11, 18 May 2, 9, 16

Chess Club
Experienced or novice chess players are welcome to come and enjoy the fun of this challenging game. Space is limited.
3rd & 4th Grade:
Times: 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $32 for 4 sessions/ space is limited
Dates: Mondays– April 16, 30, May 7 & 14
Let’s Dance
Professional dance lessons!
Dates: Thursday's, open registration monthly
Ages: 3-7 year olds
TImes: 3 to 4 year olds at 2:45p.m.-3:45p.m. and 5 to 7 year olds at 3:45p.m.-4:45p.m.
Cost: $55/month the registration fee for one child is $25 and $5 for each additional child

Art Studio Club
Dates: Tuesdays – May 1, 8 & 15 – in the East Campus (LS) Art Room
Students will have fun working with different art mediums like watercolors, temperas, markers, oil pastels and more!  Students will work on their personal interest art subject guided by the art teacher.
Ages: KT-5th Grade
Time: 3:00 –4:00 p.m. Cost: $30 A drink and snack will be provided.
Karaoke
Karaoke music will include both Christian and secular music. Instruction will focus on simple improvisation and singing alone as well as singing with others.  Class is limited to 20 students. 
Dates: May 7 and/or May 10 
Ages: 2nd - 5th Grade
TImes: 3:00p.m.-4:00p.m. 
Cost: $10
