Center
HEADLINE STORY
Monday, November 10, 2003
The Piedmont Women’s Center was overwhelmed
by the generosity of our SFCS Upper School students
last week. Our Key Club members proudly presented colorful
baby bottles filled with funds totaling $1,142.20!

The club collected donations for about three weeks
and were able to see the benefits of their mission unfold
in a special chapel held last week. Elaine Ham, Director
of Development for the Piedmont Women’s Center
shared how the funds would benefit those in need.
The money donated will pay for any one of the following
groups of items:
- 1,292 pregnancy tests
- 1,006 Bibles
- 23 ultrasounds for abortion-minded women
- 144 bags of diapers
”We are thrilled at the generosity of the SFCS
students, said Ham. “I was so impressed by their
concern for the unborn and for young women in crisis
pregnancies.”
The center sees over 3500 clients each year and provides
free counseling and pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds,
free diapers, baby clothes, maternity clothes and baby
supplies. Last year 123 women accepted Christ as Savior
during a counseling session. The ministry at the center
is 100% dependent on the generosity of people like our
SFCS students. Ham added, “Please give them our
love and sincere appreciation for helping us in this
ministry of life.”
Top SFCS Class Donations:
1st Place: 8th Grade $487.19
2nd Place: 7th Grade $258.57
3rd Place: 11th Grade $123.95
Honorable mention goes to the 10th Grade who came in
just $3.34 behind the 11th Grade. Thank you to all who
donated this gift of love.
