Monday, February 23, 2004

Shannon Forest Christian School is the place to be for the 2004-2005 school year! Our school is rejoicing in the fact that 77% of our Upper School students reenrolled in the first two weeks of the re-enrollment period. The Lower School has currently re-enrolled 78% of its students for the upcoming year.

An Open House for prospective families was held on Tuesday, February 17, and eleven families indicated serious interest in enrolling in the SFCS Upper School Program next year. The Lower School also had a wonderful turn-out during the Open House with twenty-seven families, representing thirty potential students in attendance. The evening was a great opportunity to showcase our wonderful teachers. The prospective parents asked very good questions about SFCS programs and the Admissions requirements. “It was obvious to me that the parents were truly seeking God’s best for their children. Several families have already turned in their paperwork,” says Lower School Administrator Joyce Stocks.

SFCS Upper School Partners with Home School Families in 2004-2005

Shannon Forest Christian School is proud to welcome Greenville area Home School Families to its Upper School Program beginning in the fall of 2004. Enrollment in Upper School courses will be accepted on a space available basis. Home school students may register for a maximum of two classes per school year. Enrolled students will be on site for registered class(es) only and will not qualify for extracurricular services and activities. New families to this program will be admitted based on currently established Admissions Procedures and will fall under the applicable guidelines found in the SFCS 2004-2005 Parent/Student Handbook.

SFCS is excited to offer this new program for families seeking broader opportunities for their home schooled children. Open enrollment is now underway. If you know of a friend or someone in your community who may be interested in our Home School Program, please have them contact 678.5115 or go online to www.shannonforest.com and click on Admissions.
