Grandparents' Day Was
G-R-A-N-D!
HEADLINE STORY
Friday, October 21th, 2005
The
sky was a perfect blue and the Shannon Forest Christian
School (SFCS) Campus was alive with generations
of love at the recent Grandparents' Day celebration
held on Friday,
October 14. Approximately 275 grandparents came from far and wide to
enjoy musical and dramatic programs, classroom visits,
art galleries and refreshments during the morning.
Many
visitors returned in the evening to take in Crusader sports action and
a barbeque chicken dinner. A 'grand' time was had
by all! This wonderful event took the time and
talents
of
many volunteers. 'I would like to send a heartfelt
thanks to everyone who helped to make Grandparents'
Day a success,' remarked event Chair, Renee
Bain. 'The day was a beautiful
way to honor our grandparents and special friends.' A special thank you
to all of the SFCS Key Club members who assisted our visitors throughout
the morning.
Acting Head of School, Brenda Hillman also recognized the first SFCS
Five-Star Program participants, Joe Wells and his
wife, Helen. Joe's dedication to
SFCS will result in a
$58,000 gift through the SFCS Five Star Program!
In His Service,
Brenda Hillman
