Inaugural SFCS Fashion Show and Brunch Was FANTASTIC!
HEADLINE STORY
Thursday, March 17th, 2005
The banquet room was alive with bright, spring
colors, the food was fabulous, the fashions were
fun and a
good time was had by all 281 guests of the inaugural
SFCS Fashion Show and Brunch held on Saturday, March
12, at the Greenville County Club. A popular item from
the event proved to be the whimsical, spring centerpieces
designed by Angelika Hartmann and Norma Chandler. Every
one of the pocketbook and sandal planters adorned with
fresh ivy, rose petals, pansies, greens and candles
were sold within minutes!
The service and food got
rave reviews from both the adults, who dined on quiche
and the children, who enjoyed french toast. Participants
also enjoyed an inspirational talk from Ashley Wood – the
reigning Miss South Carolina.
“Never underestimate
the impact you may have on someone’s life,” Wood
shared. She also admitted that after serving for our
state, she realized it wasn’t her crown that
made a difference in helping others, but her character
and what was on the inside.
An event of this nature
takes a lot of volunteers! Thank you to all who planned
and executed this beautiful morning to benefit SFCS.
