Sign Up NOW for Math Camp 2008!

SFCS Math teacher Harry Pohl is once again offering his summer Math
sessions to all those needing that extra boost in this subject!
Camps will be held from Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 18.
Those enrolled will take part in a one-hour session per day, Monday through
Friday. The fee is $120 for two weeks.
The fee for one week is $60 (you may use this in either the 1st or 2nd week).
It is better to attend both weeks, but it would not hurt to attend only the second

The sessions are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no
more than 16 students in a class.
The class schedule is as follows:
(9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.) Students in 3rd or 4th Grade
(10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.) Students in 5th or 6th Grade
(11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon) Students entering Pre- Algebra
(12:00 noon- 1:00 p.m.) Students entering Algebra I
(1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m.) Students entering Geometry
(2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.) Students entering Algebra II
Tutoring may also be arranged after Saturday, June 21, 2008 for SAT, ACT,
or any Math student who cannot make Math Camp for a cost of $30 per hour.

Start Planning NOW For The SFCS Summer Mission Trip!
It is already time to start planning for the SFCS Summer Mission Trip to John’s Island. Participants will once again work
with Habitat for Humanity and a nursing home ministry from Sunday, July 20, through Saturday, July 26. Rising 9th
through 12th Grade students are invited to participate. Please note that only students enrolled for 2008-2009
will be allowed to participate. There is space for 60 students and they will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
The total cost for the trip is $450 which includes food, lodging, transportation and a required donation to Habitat for
Humanity. A $50, nonrefundable deposit is due as soon as possible and the balance of $400 must be raised by Friday,
May 23, 2008. Information about fundraising will be forthcoming. Chaperones on the trip will be faculty and staff. If
additional chaperones are needed, parents will be considered.
