South Carolina history will come to life for
SFCS 3rd Grade students as they travel to our state
capitol
on Tuesday, March 16. Students will tour the State
House and the State Museum, bringing into focus all
that they have studied for the past several weeks.
Mark Your Calendars!
The ever-popular SFCS 3rd Grade
South Carolina Musical will be performed on Friday,
April 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the SFPC Sanctuary. This
year, we will not only celebrate our wonderful South
Carolina history, but extra surprises are in store
to commemorate the 35th Birthday of Shannon Forest
Christian School. Don’t Miss It!
Math Can Be Poetic…
Mrs. Coby Dixon’s
5th Grade Math class recently expressed their feelings
about Math through poetry!
Untitled
By Kasey Ensign:
A test – oh great!
Come on, dread, dread.
I’ll faint or worse,
lose
my head.
What’s worse than a math test?
Number
one is easy,
But number two, well,
is cheesy!
Exponents
are such a drag,
But I think there’re rules to
follow.
It can’t be too bad,
but Math is hard
to swallow!
Math Test Time
By Tricia Miller
Uh-oh! It’s
time for a Math test.
Help me! Help me!
I don’t
think I can do it,
But we will see.
Here comes my test
back.
How did I do?
I had studied and prepared.
An “A” for
guess who.
Math
By Kirsten Maund
Math Math, math,
It’s
hard on the brain.
So much homework,
It drives me insane.
Multiplication, division,
Subtraction, addition,
Memorizing
facts,
I guess it’s a tradition.
Pop Quiz
By Dexter Reini
A pop quiz, “Oh no!”
I
don’t know division.
I’m not ready for
a quiz,
I really need precision.
“Wait’” I
think I might remember!
This is surely nutty!
I just
might get it right,
But next time I’ll study!
