Grade Class Is “Sweet” on
Fractions!

Mrs. Annette Boehm’s 3rd Grade class learned
a lesson on fractions and satisfied their sweet tooth
at the same time! Mrs. Boehm used the classic, twelve-section
Hershey’s chocolate bar to teach fractions to
her class. Students then shared the 5 lb. chocolate
bar they received from classmate, Kathryn McDonald.
Musical Notes
SFCS Orchestra to Perform Spring Concert
SFCS Orchestra students will perform sacred pieces,
folk songs, classical music, and pop selections like
Batman and 007 in an upcoming spring concert. Both
the Beginning and Intermediate Orchestra will perform
on Tuesday, May 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the SFPC Sanctuary.
Lower School Field Day Is Coming!
Field Day for Lower School students in 1st through
6th Grades will be held on Tuesday, May 11! 1st through
3rd Grade students 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 4th through
6th Grade students 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. All students
should wear their SFCS t-shirts and MUST WEAR TENNIS
SHOES or they will not be allowed to participate. Water
will be available at each of the stations and an icy
treat will be provided at the end of the day. The purpose
of Field Day is to provide an opportunity for students
to work together and have a great time. The emphasis
is on good sportsmanship and cooperation rather than
on winning or individual talent.
“God’s Kids” Choir
To Perform at Braves Game
Fresh from their successful Carowinds choir competition,
the “God’s Kids” choir will perform
the National Anthem at the Greenville Braves game on
Tuesday, May 11. Game time is 7:15 p.m. but get there
early to catch our choir open the game around 7:00
p.m. The choir is to be at the park by 6:00 p.m.
