LOWER SCHOOL NEWS

All students in PK3 through 5th Grades will enjoy their end-ofthe- year parties on Thursday, May 26, at 10:00 a.m. The Lower School Awards Ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27, in the SFPC Sanctuary. Both of these days will be early dismissal days at 11:30 a.m.. There will be no late stay available for either day.
SFCS Kindergarten Classes Celebrate the End of the Year
The SFCS Kindergarten classes of Andrea Godsey and Debbie Patterson will enjoy a day at Hollywild Animal Park on Thursday, May 19. The event will be a celebration of the end of the school year. Parents of students are also invited to attend.
SFCS 2nd Grade Classes Travel To Clemson
2nd Grade classes at SFCS will travel to the Clemson Botanical Gardens on Monday, May 23, to enjoy nature at its best. Becky Eaton and Kim Maund's students will examine flowers foliage and trees of South Carolina and enjoy a picnic lunch. Classes will depart from school at 8:30 a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m.
Speech, Hearing And Vision Screenings
The Speech, Hearing and Learning Center is offering screenings for the PK3 through K5 SFCS classes on Monday, May 16, and Friday, May 20. The cost for screening is $25 and parents must complete a release form in order to be screened. For more information, please contact Grae Turner at 678-5123.
Summer At Shannon Update!
The sunny, ocean/beach adventure of Summer At Shannon is almost full and ready to set sail! The adventure begins on Monday, June 6, with sessions running through Friday, July 29. Currently, there is only 1 opening left for the PK program and 3 openings left for 1st - 2nd Grade participants. If you are interested, please contact Grae Turner at 678-5123 as soon as possible.
SFCS 1st Grade All- American Picnic!
Friday, May 20, marks the muchanticipated 1st Grade event at Shannon Forest Christian School. Students of Julie Sellars and Molly Spurgeon will spend the day enjoying games, a cookout and a patriotic program during the class All- American-Picnic Day. Games begin at 9:00 a.m., the cookout will begin at 11:30 a.m. and parents, grandparents and friends will enjoy a star-spangled, patriotic program at 12:30 p.m. Children may wear or bring a swimsuit for water activities. Girls' modest swimsuits need to be worn under their clothes and boys may wear swim trunks as their shorts.
