A Message From Kathy Neely
LOWER SCHOOL NEWS
Monday, August 7, 2005
A
school is just not a school until the children arrive.
We are anxiously
awaiting August 15, when our halls will fill with voices,
smiles and excitement for the new school year. In the
meantime, the staff and faculty of SFCS continue to
work diligently in preparation for that first day.
Look for some new faces on staff at SFCS this year.
We are delighted to welcome Jan Samuelson as a 1st
Grade teacher, Jane Sowles who will teach 4th Grade,
Nancy Moseley as a new 5th Grade teacher and Patti
Wailes who will assist in PK4.
Our Lower School chapel
will focus around the theme Growing in the Likeness
of Christ. There are many facets that can be illuminated
in chapel to reflect the beautiful character of Christ.
Your prayers and partnership are coveted as we guide
our students to know Him more.
“And we, who
with unveiled faces all reflecting he Lord’s
glory, are being transformed into his likeness with
ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who
is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18.
Summer at
Shannon has concluded with a delightful Beach Party.
Thank you to all who were able to attend, making
it a very special day for these young people. The rain
did not dampen any spirits as we enjoyed a hotdog
lunch,
some entertainment for our summer campers and a lively
game of beach volleyball inside the Gym. A great
big thank you goes to the staff who lovingly worked
with
students this summer. Kathy Neely
