SFCS Grandparent Makes “Time” For The
Computer Lab

4th Grade students Travis
Scott and Baxter Ballinger |
When the clock in the Computer Lab started
lagging behind, even with new batteries, Mrs. Scott
put “ A Clock for the Lab” on her Christmas
wish list. Her very creative mother-in-law, Yvonne
Scott took the hint and got busy. Using the marketing
CD’s that came in the mail, keys off a computer
keyboard and a motherboard cut into small pieces, she
fashioned this techno time piece as a gift. Because
students in the 4th through 12th Grades use the Computer
Lab, a large number of SFCS students will be able to
enjoy the clock. This includes her 4th and 8th Grade
grandsons. “At first we thought the mouse hanging
from the bottom was a pendulum, but it turns out to
be the mouse that ran up the clock. The kids love it,” said
Mrs. Scott. “Every one is always willing to chip
in when you need something. My father, Ray Mann made
the podium, parents donated the cleaning supplies and
the markers were from the PTF. I’m so thankful
for the support.”
