He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of
the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of
heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out
of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” Matthew
14:52 Thank you, Shannon Forest Christian School teachers…for
the treasures you share with our children each day.
YOU are our treasures! Students, please take time this
week to let your teachers know just how much they mean
to you through a note, a card, a hug, or an offer to
help sort, copy or straighten. These small gestures
mean the world to a teacher and our teachers mean the
world to us!
Cherokee Mission Trip Update

Sophomore, Maggie Smith
enjoyed her carpentry work during the Cherokee
Mission Trip |
This year over thirty SFCS students have already signed
up to be a part of this summer’s Cherokee Mission
Trip. “These numbers should quickly grow,” said
trip coordinator, Alvin Sell. Don’t delay in
turning in your deposit as there is a limit of eighty
people that may participate. Watch for upcoming letters
from students who are asking for financial support
for their mission trip. Sophomore, Maggie Smith had
a great experience last year. She said, “I had
a lot of fun learning how to use the saw and knocking
down the old deck that we replaced. The work we did
made me proud because you could see the finished project.” This
year, our students need to raise over $40,000 to fund
their trip scheduled for Saturday, July 24, through
Saturday, July 31. These funds include food, lodging
and support staff for our students. In addition, the
funds provide all building materials for the various
projects we will be assigned. Everyone is invited to
contribute to this worthwhile ministry. Anyone wishing
to contribute or receive information about the Cherokee
Mission Trip can visit with or call Mr. Alvin Sell
at 678.5172, Mrs. Kendell Sell at 678.5181 or Mrs.
Andrea Culpepper at 678.5115.
