Crusaders For A Cure
ALL SCHOOL NEWS

The SFCS Key Club is taking part
in a project sponsored by the American Cancer Society
called Relay for Life.
This effort is an annual fundraiser for the Cancer
Society where participants walk a track to show their
support for this important cause.
This year the walk will be held at Eastside High School
on Friday, April 30, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. That’s
right…a 12-hour walk/relay! The event will also
include food, games and fun. The SFCS Key Club has put
together a team of 39 people to support the relay. The
team is called Crusaders for a Cure. Someone from the
team will walk the tracks throughout the night. Those
that are waiting to take a turn to walk will be helping
out with a bake sale in the SFCS tent set up next to
the track. If you would like to support our Key Club
and their crusade against cancer, you may purchase a
luminary bag for $10 in honor of or in memory of a loved
one with cancer. These luminary bags will be placed
along side the track during the event. You may also
help sponsor our team through a donation of $100. These
supporters will receive a track sign with your family
or your business name that will be placed around the
track the night of the relay. All sponsor donations
must be turned in to Rachel Blakely by Wednesday, April
21. For more information please call Tracie Blakely
at 678.5109 or Rachel Blakely at 292.2174. Any donations
are appreciated and all are tax deductible.
