Many SFCS seniors have exciting
news to share about their future
education! Look for additional
news on the accomplishments of
other graduating seniors in future
editions.
Tyler Weekley has recently accepted his appointment
to West Point where he will attend in the fall. Weekley
is the son of Gary and Brenda Weekley.
Sarah Hanlin has received the John I. Smith Academic
Scholarship to Presbyterian College where she will
attend this fall. Hanlin is the daughter of Robert
and Susan Hanlin.
Holly Seppala has received a Trustee Honor Scholarship
from Converse College where she will attend in the
fall. She is the daughter of Nathan and Joan Seppala.
Sarah O’Kelley recently signed her letter of
intent to accept a Volleyball Scholarship to Brevard
College. O’Kelley, also a SFCS Varsity Basketball
player, led the Lady Crusaders Varsity Volleyball team
to a 20-8 winning 2004- 2005 season. The team finished
in 3rd Place in the NCISAA 1 A Division – the
best state finish in SFCS Volleyball history. She recorded
55 service aces, 89 service points and 115 kills for
the Crusader season and promises to have an immediate
impact as she begins her freshman year as a starter
for the Brevard team. Prior to the beginning of her
college career, O’Kelley will be traveling to
Israel on a summer mission trip. O’Kelley is
the daughter of Laura Schultzman of Greer. Her sister
Kayla is following the same athletic path and will
be a junior at SFCS next year.
Spring Pictures Damaged
Life Touch has informed the
school that the film of all the spring pictures has
been damaged and the pictures will not be available
to purchase. The end of the year is upon us and there
is not enough time to schedule retakes. Life Touch
is very sorry for the inconvenience. |
