Prom Slide Show >

SFCS PTF is once again offering a simple way to order your children’s school supplies for next fall!

If you wish to save yourself lots of time and energy, you may order complete, pre-packaged school supply packets for 2004-2005. No partial packets may be ordered. Lower School students will receive the order form in this week’s Monday folders. Middle and Upper School students may pick up a form in the Main School Office. Please return all orders to your child’s teacher by Friday, May 28. If you choose to purchase your own school supplies, Lower School class supply lists will be included in this week’s Monday folders. Individual SFCS assignment books and folders may be ordered through PTF. Separate order forms for these items will be mailed home during the summer, along with an additional copy of the school supply list for 2004-2005.

Please note that the school supply packets do not include the following: book bags, calculators, NIV Bibles or socks (for dry erase boards). For PK3 – K5, you will need to purchase your own thin, red and blue tri-fold rest mat (from Wal-Mart), and don’t forget to include a blanket and a change of clothes.

Cherokee Mission Trip Update

The number of participants from SFCS signed up to go to Cherokee has reached eighty-seven and fundraising efforts are in high gear! Many thanks go out to those who supported the car wash on Friday, April 30, and to the Lower School teachers who organized fundraisers at the grade levels. People can still help by supporting our other fundraisers listed above.

For many of our students, such as SFCS sophomores, Savannah Boccio and Adam Spencer, this will be their third year going to Cherokee. Spencer said, “I really enjoy helping people and seeing them get happy when we make their homes look better.” Boccio stated that she “has loved learning how to paint and do other construction jobs, especially when her efforts are a service to others.” Boccio also said that she “ really enjoys staying up late every night getting to know the people in her cabin better and talking about God and life.”
