SFCS 11th Annual Golf Marathon Update!

SFCS would like to once again thank all of our golfers for their participation in this critical fundraising event for Shannon Forest Christian School. On Thursday, May 13, dedicated participants will gather for coffee, juice, Danish and muffins next to the pro shop at Southern Oaks Golf Course at 7:20 a.m! At 7:30 a.m. the golf pro at Southern Oaks will give our group some general instructions and then you’ll be off to complete your 100 holes! You can begin on any hole, and you are welcome to pair up with other golfers or go at your own pace. You have all day to complete your 100 holes! Plan to play all day! Your sponsorship totals are based on your playing 100 holes. SFCS will provide lunch, snacks and drinks available throughout the day. All golfers will receive prizes based on your sponsorship totals! Directions to Southern Oaks Golf Course Take I-85 South towards Atlanta Take Exit 40, and turn right onto Highway 153 At the second stoplight, turn left on Highway 81 Go 5 ½ miles Southern Oaks will be on your left Call Steve Whaley if you have any questions! 678-5113 (at SFCS) or 923-5000 (mobile phone.)


Discount Christian Book Fair

SFCS and all area Christian schools are invited to the Discount Christian Book Fair to be held on Saturday, May 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Market Square Shopping Center, 1450 W.O. Ezell Blvd. in Spartanburg. Discounts of 40% to 80% will be available on the world’s best authors, resources, gifts, music and Bibles. The fair will also include give-aways in the morning and children’s activities throughout the day. The SFCS Library can receive $50 worth of books just by having ten or more people from our school attend the fair and make a purchase of $15. (There is a limit of one $50 gift per school.) The school with the most purchases will receive an additional $50 worth of books for their library.


Cherokee Mission Trip Fund-raising Opportunities

Over the next several weeks, there will be many ways you and your family can help raise the much needed funds for the summer Cherokee Mission trip. Plan to attend one OR ALL OF THEM to help us raise the funds for this important trip.

Buy Mutt’s BBQ!
Monday, May 17 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Mutt’s BBQ is located at 214 E. Butler Road in Mauldin, South Carolina; 10% of proceeds and all tips will go toward the Cherokee Mission Trip

Krispy Kreme Donut Sale
Every Friday from now until summer vacation is SFCS Donut Day! 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. during Upper School and Lower School drop off $5.00 per dozen. All proceeds will benefit the Cherokee Mission Trip

All of these great events will be supervised by adults and are a wonderful and EASY way you can make an appreciated donation to a worthy cause.
