Parent SAT Workshop Offered

ALL SCHOOL NEWS
Friday, August 26th, 2005

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a national stanine and a national percentile score? Maybe you've pondered what kind of geography questions your 2nd Grade student will be asked to answer. When parents are armed with an understanding of standardized testing results, they can more effectively see how a child is learning and processing information. SFCS is pleased to offer a workshop for all parents in 1st through 11th Grades who would like assistance in reading and understanding their child's test scores. Alice Ann Holman will be on hand to explain what each score means and how we compare on a local and national scale. Parent SAT Workshop - Saturday, August 27 10:00 a.m., Building 300, Room 103, A&B, Lower School Campus All 1st - 11th Grade parents are welcome!

Parent Orientation Meetings Continue

In order to communicate the large volume of important information to our SFCS families, grade level orientation meetings have been scheduled during the months of August and September. These small-group meetings will provide wonderful opportunities for parents to take part in question and answer discussions as classroom teachers and administrators discuss details for the 2005-2006 school year. Upper School students will be meeting with their class sponsors to discuss class activities during the parent meetings upstairs in the Lower School Multi-purpose Room. All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Lower Level Rooms A & B in Building 300 of the Lower School Campus. Meetings will last for approximately one hour. Please note the appropriate meeting to attend:
