School Improvement Council Update
ALL SCHOOL NEWS
Friday, May 13th, 2005
The newly formed School Improvement Council (S.I.C.) recently elected officers for the coming year. The purpose of the S.I.C. is to serve as a liaison between SFCS, parents, Administration, School Board and the Greenville Community by collecting and disseminating information about school improvement. This committee will be headed by Chairman Hal Long, Vice-Chair Hazel Dance and Secretary Jenni Bryson. The S.I.C. is committed to the assessment and planning of a short and long-term school improvement plan. The committee had their first meeting in May, where the future of SFCS was discussed and ideas were reviewed that are already becoming a reality! The S.I.C. is focusing on the future and they are excited to recommend ways to improve our great school. To do this, the committee would like YOUR input on several subjects for the 2005-2006 school year. We value YOUR suggestions on ways we can improve SFCS. These ideas will be discussed and formulated into recommendations by the S.I.C. to Acting Head of School Brenda Hillman. We will be utilizing a survey either on-line or by mail to collect this information. Be on the lookout for this important survey!
The Faculty and Staff of Shannon Forest Christian School would like to honor you, the parents, for your generosity, creativity and commitment. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. To show our appreciation, we would like to treat you to…
