The SFCS Drama Club received
Honorable Mention at the recent
Palmetto Dramatic Association
One-Act Play Conference held at
Lander University. While the
results were slightly disappointing,
when compared to the other high
schools, Drama teacher, Brenda
Stephens still feels that “SFCS Drama students are working at a high
level of proficiency.” Stephens added that, “The judges’ comments
were helpful and they had many encouraging remarks about our performance and
individual students.” SFCS Senior, Tim Lampson received Honorable Mention
over two-hundred actors and actresses, many of whom have acted professionally
for
many years.
SFCS Drama Day Has Been Rescheduled!
The ever-popular
5th and 6th Grade Drama Day has been rescheduled for
Thursday, April 1, and Friday, April 2. During these “dramatic
days,” 5th and 6th Grade students will work in
small groups to study characterization, improvisation,
voice and diction. Students will also participate in
fun-filled and creative theatre games. Classes will
be led by SFCS Upper School Drama students, under the
direction of Drama teacher, Brenda Stephens. At the
end of the day, the students will perform for their
parents in the SFCS Main Gymnasium.
