Andrea Godsey

“I like Mrs. Godsey’s personality, she has a very Christian attitude and is nice to everyone.”
– Sarah Thackston

“They put the women in one van and the men in a different van,” said Andrea Godsey about when she was arrested in Moscow, Russia, for preaching the gospel to unbelievers in the streets. It was scary for Mrs. Godsey, but she made it through with the help of the Lord. Other than being arrested once, she is a typical K5 teacher at SFCS.

Mrs. Godsey was born on November 6, 1978, in Greenville, South Carolina. She grew up in Easley, South Carolina with her mom, her dad, one sister, and two brothers. Her husband is Ryan Godsey who teaches Bible classes at Shannon.

The most interesting places Mrs. Godsey has been to are Russia, Japan, and Hawaii. She thought these places were really neat because of the different cultures and they were all beautiful. Mrs. Godsey’s favorite restaurant is the Melting Pot. Her favorite movie is Lord of the Rings. Her favorite book is a trilogy by Francine Rivers. Three things that would describe Mrs. Godsey are athletic, compassionate, and flexible {not physically}. If there was one thing, she could tell others about herself, it would be how sensitive she is.

Mrs. Godsey has been working at SFCS for three years now and graduated from North Greenville College. She chose SFCS to teach at because the Lord called her to spread the Word of God. In a typical week, she teaches her K5 class and coaches the varsity volleyball team. She thinks that Christian education is important because the children can learn about God’s Word.

To sum this all up Mrs. Godsey is a K5 at SFCS and enjoys spreading the Word to young children.
