SHANNON FOREST CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Monday, April 26, 2004

by Ryan Whitaker, SFCS 6th Grade student

Brian Jameson

Mr. Jameson was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina. His wife Rochelle is expecting their first child in July of 2004. He has done extensive traveling and his favorite place has been Montana.

Three adjectives that describe Mr. Jameson are funny, intense, and purposeful. He also says he is not as mean as people think. His favorite song is, Land of My Sojourn by Richard Mullins. His favorite book and movie is Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien and Fazoli’s is his favorite restaurant.

Mr. Jameson says he has done many dangerous things, for example, falling off a cliff and almost falling into a waterfall. He says when he was a child he made his mother worry.

He has been working at SFCS for eleven years. Some of the activities Mr. Jameson is involved in include heading up the Windy Gap Trip and the Junior Class trip to Washington D.C. He is also a senior sponsor.

Mr. Jameson says if you could add anything to SFCS, it would be a football team. If he could see anything that is not at our school now, in five years, he would like a new building.

Mr. Jameson went to Clemson University and majored in History. He has taught many classes such as U.S. History, 8th Grade History, Government, S.C. History, Economics, World History, Psychology, Sociology, Geography and Bible. When he went to Washington D.C. this spring, he led classes on tours of the Smithsonian, the White House, Arlington Cemetery, the Holocaust Museum, Annapolis, Maryland and Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Jameson’s motto is BAM! You might be wondering what that means, well here it goes…B - “Be the Man”, A- “ Anticipate Success” and M- “Move Like You Mean It”. SFCS freshman, Sarah Whitaker says, “Mr. Jameson is a great teacher who always makes learning fun!” 6th Grade teacher, Mrs. Weaver added, “Mr. Jameson has a great sense of humor which makes him fun to talk to and be around.”
