Candy Grams Are Back!
Coming soon to a classroom
near you…the Junior Class will once again
be selling the ever popular candy grams! All
proceeds from the sale will go toward the funding
of the junior/senior prom. Candy Grams go on
sale beginning Monday, February 2, through Friday,
February 13. The cost is 25 cents per Hershey
Kiss. If you have any questions, please contact

National Honor Society Induction
Ceremony Date Change
Due to 1st semester testing
being later this year, the National Honor Society Induction
Ceremony has been changed from Sunday, February 22,
to Sunday, March 14, at 2:00 p.m. in the SFPC Sanctuary.
Scholarship Opportunity!
Best Buy has a scholarship
opportunity for well-rounded students who have given
back to their community during their high school career.
The deadline to apply is Sunday, February 15. Interested
students need to go online to BestBuy.com and click
on “Community Relations.”
Furman University Summer Programs
SFCS juniors and
seniors… Furman University is offering eight
summer programs covering a wide range of topics including:
french, leadership, writing, computer science, graphic
design, theatre, law and health. These one and two-week
programs are taught by members of the Furman faculty.

Class is looking for guest speakers who can inform
and enlighten students about their current or past
occupations. Parents, please consider sharing your
careers with our students. The class is scheduled on “A” days

TV, Radio & Film Opportunity
The College of Communication
at Boston University will be holding a five-week summer
program in its Institute for Television, Film, & Radio
Production. Students will explore various aspects of
