Please keep the Junior Class in your prayers as
they travel to Washington, D.C. on Thursday, March
4, through Monday, March 8. There
is a mandatory meeting for all 11th Grade parents who have a student going
to Washington, D.C. on Monday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m. in the Upper School Cafeteria.
The meeting will be brief but critical information will be discussed.
Sophomores Are
Charleston Bound!
Look for a re-cap of the SFCS 10th Grade trip to Charleston
in upcoming Crusader Communiquè issues! The
students are headed to the coast on Monday, March 1,
and Tuesday, March 2.
Private
Showing of The Passion Of The Christ
SFCS students in 9th through 12th Grade will be offered
the opportunity to attend a private showing of the
movie The Passion of Christ on Thursday, March 11.
The cost for students will be $5.00 per ticket.
National Honor
Society Induction
Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 14, at 2:00
p.m. for the 2004 National Honor Society (NHS) and
National Junior Honors Society (NJHS) Induction Ceremony.
The ceremony will be held in the SFPC Sanctuary. Proper
attire for new inductees and current members will be
coat and tie for gentlemen and long skirts or dress
slacks for ladies.

Key Club Meeting
SFCS Key Club members will be
meeting on Wednesday, March 17,
immediately following chapel.

Miss the 3rd Annual Cherokee Mission Trip!
SFCS families will experience a wonderful time of
service, fellowship and fun in Cherokee, North Carolina
as participants in the 3rd Annual Cherokee Mission
Trip. In addition to hard work, the team will also
share in a time of worship each night. This summer’s
trip is scheduled for Saturday, July 24, through Saturday,
July 31. The SFCS trip to Cherokee is arranged through
Mission to the World (MTW) which is an international
short term mission organization. The amount charged
by MTW includes food, lodging and support staff for
our students. In addition, they provide all building
materials for the various projects we will be assigned.
There will be meetings throughout this spring and SFCS
will keep you informed of additional details about
the trip. Please look for further information about
how you can help fund this wonderful mission in future
editions of the Crusader Communiquè. If you

- Scholarship Opportunities!
Greenville Rotary and American Legion
The Downtown Greenville Rotary Club has $1,000 scholarships
available to students whose parents or grandparents
are not members of the Rotary Club. The American Legion
also has $500 scholarships for students who are related
to members of the Legion. Applications for both of
these scholarships are available in the Guidance Office.

has a $2,500 scholarship for students planning on
pursuing art, humanities, social science or education
in college.
A 250-500 word essay is required. To apply, go to

Are You Interested in Clemson University?
SFCS Junior
girls with an interest in Engineering and Science
should plan to attend a free preview weekend at Clemson
University
called WISE Choice. During this program, held from
Thursday, April 15, through Saturday, April 17, students
will live in the dorms, attend classes, eat in the
dining hall and participate in a variety of activities
to explore life at Clemson. Contact Mr. Jeff Phillips
at 678-5117 or stop by the Guidance Office if you
would like an application.
Financial Aid Seminar
Current SFCS Sophomores, Juniors,
Seniors and their parents are invited to a college
financial aid seminar on Monday, March 15, at 6:00
p.m. in Room 103 of Building 300 on the Lower School
Campus.
Financial Aid Assistance
College financial aid
officers will assist students and parents in the
completion
and submission of the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) forms on Saturday, February 28,
from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The program will be
held in Greenville at the University Center, (formerly
McAlister Square Mall) Room 208. Registration and
