Mary
Reinink Included In Who’s Who Among America’s
Teachers®!
UPPER SCHOOL NEWS
June, 2004
For 25 years, Mary Reinink has greeted the students
of SFCS with a warm welcome… and has then proceeded
to the business at hand…LEARNING! One of the
blessings of committing your life to teaching is to
affect a student’s life so powerfully, that they
choose to honor you with national recognition. This
is the case with Mary Reinink in that she is the latest
SFCS teacher to be accepted in Who’s Who Among
America’s Teachers® 2003-2004. This publication
honors America’s best students and teachers and
is a tribute to the hard work, values, dedication and
commitment teachers have to their students. Reinink
currently teaches 6th Grade English, 7th Grade Advanced
English, 8th Grade Honors English and 9th Grade Advanced
English. She also teaches a Creative Writing course
in the Middle School specials rotation. She earned
a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope College in Holland,
Michigan and has taught in both Michigan and Florida
before coming to SFCS. “It is a blessing to be
surrounded by folks who love the Lord and want to share
that love with others,” said Reinink when asked
about the benefits of teaching in a Christian school.
When at home, Reinink enjoys reading, especially historical
fiction books. She and her husband Ron have three married
children and nine grandchildren. Thank you for your
service, Mary Reinink!
