Senior Retreat Yields Special Decisions
UPPER SCHOOL NEWS
Friday, September 17, 2004
The senior class of 2005 spent two days in early September
in Ridgehaven, North Carolina to finalize plans for
their final year at SFCS. “Out of all the retreats
that I have been on, this senior class retreat was
the best,” shared Kendell Sell. “The students
really put a lot of effort and thought into their decisions.” The
class chose two verses to represent their year: But
none of these things move me, neither count I my life
dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course
with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of
the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace
of God. -Acts 20:24
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear
God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole
duty of man. - Ecclesiastes 12:13 Our seniors also
chose, O For A Thousand Tonques, as their traditional
hymn. To personalize their graduation ceremony and
class day, the seniors will also sing songs that have
great meaning to their class: In Christ Alone Shout
to the Lord The class will also enjoy a trip to New
York City.
