Seniors Are Special Fall Barbecue

The first Seniors Are Special event will be a fall family barbecue to be held on Thursday, October 13, at 7:00 p.m. at the
Hopkins family farm. Students of the senior class, their parents, grandparents, siblings, faculty and staff are all invited to
attend. The evening will be catered by Mutts Barbecue. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The dress
will be country casual. Please RSVP to Sue Murphy at 234-0257 by Tuesday, October 11.

Friday, October 14, is Grandparents' Day at SFCS and all students will enjoy
a half day schedule and time to spend with loved ones. Please note the special

Masquerade Ball
Mark your calendars for Friday,
October 21, and start planning
your prize-winning costumes!
Students in 9th - 12th Grades are
invited to attend a Masquerade
Ball from 8:00 p.m. - 12 midnight
in the Lower School multipurpose
Room. Prizes will be
awarded for the best costumes
for singles, couples and groups.
SFCS Key Club Rally Scheduled
The SFCS Upper School Key Club will kick off their year of service with a Fall Rally to be held at Carowinds in Charlotte,
North Carolina on Saturday, October 15 through Sunday, October 16. The SFCS Key Club is a 9th through 12th Grade
organization devoted to service in the school, the home and the community and is an arm of the Key Club International.

Middle and Upper
School classes went all
out to design t-shirts,
create cheers and put
on a lively display of
school spirit!




9th & 10th Grade Students Plan For College NOW!
Parents of all SFCS 9th and
10th Grade students were given a special college notebook
at the recently held orientation meeting. If you were
unable to attend, your student will be
given this notebook at school. It is very important
that all parents review this material and start the
college planning process now! Please keep this notebook
up to date as new information will be added throughout
each student’s junior and senior year. It’s
