Parent Teacher Fellowship

Dear SFCS Parents,

Thank you so much for partnering with the PTF this school year.  Your membership will help provide many social and teacher appreciation events throughout the school year.  If you have not yet joined, it is not too late!  Please print the membership form from our website and return it to your child’s teacher.

Our Fall Family Fellowship was a fun evening of food, games, and fellowship.  Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time by working at one of the rides or booths and by providing the baked goods for the cake walk and dessert booth.

PTF is playing an important role this year by encouraging every family to serve five hours per semester.  Children feel so much pride when their parents invest in their school through volunteering.  By now you should have been contacted by your child’s room mom or grade level representative.  Throughout the remainder of the school year, she will be communicating volunteer opportunities for your child’s grade.

img_7234- Any time you work at an event, classroom party, field trip, etc…, you will receive credit toward your five hour goal.   We have made this goal attainable for working parents as well by giving credit for off campus service.  Each time you send in items for events, socials, parties, etc… you will receive an hour credit.
  • - Any time you are volunteering at the school or send in a requested item, please sign in on the Volunteer Log in each school office.  To help us keep track of your family service hours, please keep one of the logs linked below at home and turn it in to any school office after accruing FIVE hours. Please monitor your hours under your family information.  For every five hours your family serves, a PTF representative will make a painted handprint of your child to be displayed in the halls of the East Campus.
- ALL grades will recognize their volunteers at a breakfast on Monday, April 16.

PTF holds monthly “Tuesday Talks” where you can find out how easy it is to get involved.  We always need volunteers in a variety of areas, so please drop in and choose what opportunities fit your interests and schedule.  It is a fun, informal social over coffee where you can meet other parents, express any concerns, and offer suggestions for upcoming events or class activities.

My prayer for SFCS this year is that every family will become involved through service to make our school a place that brings glory to our heavenly Father.  Please take advantage of the service opportunities communicated on the school’s webpage, teacher’s newsletters, e-blasts, and e-mails from your child’s room mom or grade level representative.  If you have any questions about your service hours or about how you can get involved, please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
