BRIDGE - 6th Grade

• Students partner with Gardens at Eastside residents, an assisted living facility on Roper Mountain Road Extension.

• The program fosters relationship building skills as each student gets to know their elder

• Students participate in skill building activities – such as interviewing, note-taking, communication and social interaction with their elder partners.

• Students also engage in ministry opportunities with the elder partners that include Scripture sharing, nurturing and prayer.

• The year of service comes to and end with a memorable celebration featuring a hardback book, written by the students about the information they have gathered throughout their experience.
