Shannon Forest JV Season Ends With Winning Record
October 26, 2011 - The Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) Junior Varsity Volleyball team ended its season with a convincing win over Rabun Gap 25-9, 25-8 to finish the season with a 9-8 record. The Lady Crusaders dominated the entire match with several kills and service aces. Sophomore Amy Spranger led the charge with a team high 6 kills while Katelyn Overby and Savannah West had 4 each. West also chipped in with 7 aces and Tatiana Johnson had her best serving game of the season with 5 aces. Morgan Goldman continued her consistent play contributing in all categories with 3 kills, 8 assists, and 5 aces. With the Varsity team graduating only one senior, next year's team will have a lot of experience in its favor. "Congratulations to the girls on their winning season," commented SFCS Coach David Thompson.
