The Shannon Forest Christian School ESOL Program is designed to help a child’s English understanding through Academic support and fostering Communication skills with direct instruction and support both inside and outside the classroom.

The Lower School and Upper School Program is tailored to each student to achieve their highest potential and Academic support.

Lower School ESOL students will receive the following in their program:
• Lower School ESOL students will be placed on a rotation schedule.
• Students will be pulled from their classes to meet with their ESOL Resource Teacher.
• ESOL students will meet with their ESOL Resource Teacher three times a week.
• Students will meet with ESOL Resource Teacher for 45 minutes per session.

• Classroom Accommodations will be given to each ESOL student based on their levels and abilities.

Upper School ESOL students will receive the following in their program:
• Upper School (Middle and High School) ESOL students will meet with their ESOL Resource Teacher during the selected ESOL Elective.
• Students will receive extended time for tests as needed with ESOL Coordinator.
• Students will receive grades for ESOL elective.
• Classroom Accommodations will be given to each ESOL student based on their levels and abilities.
