Students in 6th Grade participate in a special service learning program called BRIDGES.  This program, recognized by Association of Christian Schools International as a recipient of the Award of Excellence, seeks to build relationships with local elder partners, thus bridging the gap between the generations.  Students partner with residents of a local assisted living facility, located on Roper Mountain Extension.  BRIDGES participants write about their experiences and those of their elder partners.  The project culminates in the development and production of a book that is given as a gift to each elder partner.
